Max Whitaker is a UK-based photographer whose work mostly involves people & portraits, often these concern arts subjects. Starting photography in childhood, he has worked for print (and latterly online) media and corporate commissions since 1985. He exhibited at the Royal Photographic Society annual International Print Exhibition in 2008. He also has portraits of Anita Brookner and Michael Baxandall in the National Portrait Gallery, London collection . His ''Faces of the Blues'' selections from his Blues musicians archives were exhibited at the Glastonbury Festival in 2005, and also in 2011 at the Royal Photographic Society. His first cousin is the late Royal affairs correspondent James Whitaker. Ed Whitaker, another cousin, is the principal photographer of the ''Racing Post''.
